On the 5th of June,2022 in Over 20 people have been reportedly killed in an attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State by Unknown gunmen/terrorists.
This happened on a Sunday service after sermon, Heavily armed unknown gunmen/bandits stormed into the church spuriously shooting into the congregation killing over 40 church members which include kids,adults and also couples while some other church members were terribly injured.This terrible act led to splashes of blood all over the church and members of the church were seen in forms of pain,agony and sorrow due to the incident. The perpetrators of this act also threw a bomb into the church which also led to loss of lives and the bandits where seen by eye witness when they drove off from the scene.
So many injured persons were rushed to a closeby hospital and which later on they appealed for blood donors
This was a form of massacre which has instigated pain,sorrow and fear more in the hearts of loved ones,friends and families of the deceased.This heinous insurgency has kept Nigerians in shock and pain
The lives lost in this massacre is a great loss to Nigeria as a whole, the high rate of insecurity and insurgency in the country has negatively impacted on the well-being of citizens
The perpetrators of this condemned act would definitely be brought to book and would definitely face the law.
